Psychology in books?

It can be hard sometimes writing about psychological issues because each person will see things differently, and therefore there are many ways to write a psychological issue. I think, as a writer, you need first to see what the character that you are creating is like, how they may perceive or relate in the situation, which also has bearings in how they would react and how the issues would affect them psychologically. I think psychology plays a huge role in many stories, so why not use psychology as an advantage and develop characters with more depth and that people can relate to in stories. Whether it is being depressed or being super excited, or even grief, we all have those moments, and to be able to capture them in a novel is a great thing for writers to do because it makes their characters more real.
