Just an update, I’m still working on the short story series. Have so many ideas, hard to contain it all in short stories.
My thoughts of the day:
I find that details are essential, but there has to be a balance to them. I am a reader as much as a writer, and yes, when writing, details tend to help bring along the novel and ensure that a reader gets the right kind of idea of what is going on. However, some details are useless. I find that this is where a balance is needed. Too many details can get overwhelming to a reader. Not enough details leave a reader scratching their head about it. But it’s the writer’s job to find a balance with the details. Those certain moments in the writing process that need a lot of details, and at other moments in the writing process, there are unnecessary details. I like to leave a particular area with a lack of details to allow the reader to use their imagination, but not so much to make them get lost in their imagination. So I believe in a balance, which depends on the kind of book and how you are writing it. But we all need to find our writer’s balance that leaves the reader wanting more.
I hope you enjoy my writing as much as I do writing it. You can look me up on Wattpad under Xavier Black or buy my book at amazon.
